Thank you to the 100 plus individuals who braved the cold and wet weather to participate in the 5th Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence held on Saturday October 3 at East Rock Park.
Why do we walk...Because every 9 seconds a woman in the US is assaulted or beaten. We walk because studies suggest that up to 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence. We walk because Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women. We walk to show our support.
