Survey on the State of the Nonprofit Sector in Greater New Haven

Dear nonprofit leader:

In our continued effort to gather information on the state of the nonprofit sector in our region we are encouraging you to participate in the Nonprofit Finance Fund’s (NFF) annual survey. The Nonprofit Finance Fund has agreed to provide The Foundation with the aggregate data on our twenty-town region. This data will continue to help us understand the economic climate and its impact on the sector in our region and nationally. It is important that as many nonprofits as possible respond to the survey so we can get meaningful results. The results of the survey will help us determine what some of the most critical areas of need are in this region, both now and for the long-term

Please click on the link below to take the 10-15 minute survey:

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this effort. Your participation will ensure a strong and inclusive sampling of the sector.

LISC CEO Talks Transportation Access on Global Citizen's “Vax Because”

As part of their worldwide vaccine access campaign, Vax Because, Global Citizen invited LISC CEO Lisa Glover and Uber's global head of social impact Julia Paige to discuss their $11 million Vaccine Access Fund, designed to upend barriers to transportation to vaccination sites—barriers that primarily affect undeserved communities of color. Said Glover in the video interview, together with Uber, “we can deliver the resources to our partners that are trusted on the ground, and they can work with their communities to get the transportation needs met.”

Grace Lee Boggs: An Ally in the Vanguard of Racial Justice

As LISC marks the beginning of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, assistant general counsel Ted Shen reflects on the imperative of allyship, and the extraordinary life and example of Grace Lee Boggs—philosopher, activist and exemplary ally in the struggle for racial and economic equity.
