On October 28, 2014, The Community Fund for Women & Girls presented Nilda with the first annual Susan M. Lewin Women’s Leadership Award. The awards ceremony was part of an event called “Feminism’s Frankensteins” featuring feminist speaker Courtney Martin, held at the New Haven Lawn Club.
