The Arts Council of Greater New Haven seeks an experienced accounting professional to serve as the part-time Finance Director for this non-profit regional arts service organization. The Finance Director is responsible for budgeting, financial record keeping and management, and budget analysis. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Finance Director manages bookkeeping, payroll processing and preparation of financial reports for the organization’s board of directors. The Finance Director also handles administrative responsibilities including serving as a liaison to insurance agencies, and maintaining all personnel records and benefits. The position requires an individual with at least five years of professional accounting experience with demonstrated proficiency in financial management. Working knowledge of Peachtree software is preferable. The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, be a self-starter who is able to multi-task while being detail oriented. The Finance Director must possess integrity, credibility and an appreciation for the Arts Council’s mission.
