KEEP Your Kidneys Healthy. Dialysis works, but healthy kidneys are the BEST for a good quality of life.
In Connecticut there are over 1,000 people waiting for a kidney transplant. There are not enough kidneys to give these people transplants. Those who are waiting are aided by one of two forms of dialysis. This is keeping them alive; however, dialysis is also restrictive. Prevention is better than cure. High Blood Pressure (HBP) and Diabetes are two of the leading causes of kidney problems. Keep your blood pressure under control. Monitor your blood sugar. Live healthy.
