Event Description

This is an invitation for Community Organizers to come speak at this day-long event, or to simply come and participate

 

This is a day of action to get money out of politics.

12pm: March against "governing under the influence" begins on the downtown Green. Participants should artfully interpret the theme of the march as they may. (March will symbolically proceed up Wall Street, turning onto Church Street, and pause at City Hall)

12:30: Several guest speakers will share their message on the steps of City Hall.

3:00: Meal Time on the Upper Green: Potluck encouraged in the vein of pasta, salad, soup, and bread.

4:00: Several guest Community Organizers and Educators will share their experiences and/or host workshops/classes on the subject of their work in New Haven

7:30: A march will proceed from the Upper Green to 37 Howe Street where participants are encouraged to attend a musical performance

8:00: "Hip Hop Against Police Brutality" at 37 Howe Street.
