Event Description

The SARAH Foundation would like to ask you to help us enrich the lives of our participants by supporting the 9th Annual SARAH Golf Classic to be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Clinton Country Club.

The tournament will begin with registration, open driving range and putting green at 11:00 AM and a BBQ lunch served at noon.  The shotgun start will be at 1:00 PM and the tournament will be followed by dinner, drawing and awards.  There will also be several hole-in-one contests including an automobile prize courtesy of Madison Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

SARAH provides programs and services for people with intellectual disabilities who live in Connecticut.  Our participants, who rely on our services every day, have been greatly affected by state funding cuts. Your support is needed more than ever for the extraordinary people that we serve.

The success of the SARAH Golf Classic depends greatly upon sponsors and players.  We are currently seeking individuals or organizations who would like to participate as players, foursomes and/or sponsors outlined in the enclosed brochure.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the SARAH Golf Classic and accept our appreciation and gratitude for your generous support.  We look forward to seeing you on August 4th at Clinton Country Club.

Laying the Cash Tracks for Community Impact

LISC CFO Christina Travers is among the impact investing leaders who contributed commentaries to a new book, The Social Justice Investor, and joined a panel discussion at today’s book launch. In her essay, “Laying the Cash Tracks,” (reprinted here) she explains the evolution of LISC’s capital markets experience—noting how discouraging Wall Street conversations eventually led to transformative, community-focused investments.
