VISION DAY: New Haven Teen Takeover!
Dear Community:
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to The Future Project’s, VISION DAY: A New Haven Teen Takeover on Saturday, June 6, 12-4PM at Wexler-Grant School, where 150+ high school students across New Haven will lead 50+ inspiring projects for all ages to envision and create bright futures!
Student-led projects on June 6 include: a cultural pride fashion show, a self-love booth, dance lessons, a giant community voice wall, a hip/hop and dance showcase, skits to combat stereotyping, domestic violence awareness, an interactive photo/video booth, an inspired henna station, arts and crafts activities, a community collage, and many more.
“VISION DAY: A New Haven Teen Takeover” will take place during the Celebrate Our Dixwell festival where 1,000 people are expected to attend for free food, activities and performances by local organizations and neighborhood artists, and was recently highlighted in the New Haven Register here.
The event is coordinated by The Future Project in collaboration with the International Arts & Ideas Festival, New Haven Public Schools, and community organizers of the Dixwell neighborhood.
The Future Project is a national nonprofit that inspires young people to live lives of passion, purpose, and pursuit of their greatest potential.
