IS THE GHETTO IN EXISTENCE BY DESIGN
Some of you may have seen the Clybourne Park play presented by the Long Wharf Theatre last season and or attended the related community conversations co presented by the Long Wharf Theatre and the New Haven Public Library. I had the pleasure of co moderating the panels with Colin Caplan and Clifton Graves. This immersion really opened my eyes to how public policy impacts the literal and metaphorical design of our lives. Note for example the increased gentrification of New Haven and what that might portend. At any rate this article sheds additional light on benign and overt intentions in the past to structure the monopoly board of life. LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
