I transplanted a grouping of percussion for anyone to play on a traffic island at Santee and 9th Street during the CicLAvia Sunday, October 9, 2011 in Downtown LA. The collection of found objects and traditional percussion were mounted on stands. Attached were mallets and sticks for anyone to play. The impromptu jams between strangers and the casual striking of the pieces made an almost constant soundscape for the hundreds of bicycle riders passing by.
