On June 15, 2012 President Obama announced Deferred Action for immigrant youth. Deferred Action is an administrative power that the Executive Branch has to halt the deportation of individuals that may otherwise be subject to removal. On this ocassion, deferred action was announced for young immigrants that meet certain requirements.
Apostle Immigrant Services and Junta for Progressive Action will host the first of many clinics for deferred action applicants on September 15, 2012 from 9:00-3:00. We need many volunteers to help us run each station to ensure that this is a succesful event. We will host a volunteer training on September 13, 2012 from 7:00-9:00pm at Junta for Progressive Action. Our address is 169 Grand Ave.
If you are interested in attending or have any other questions please call me at (203)787-0191, ext. 14 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will have many other clinics so if you can't make it to the one on the 15 you can still hepl us out!
