The Board of Directors of The Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence (The Alliance), an East Hartford-based statewide coalition of nine individual sexual assault crisis programs, is seeking a new executive director. The next executive director will have the opportunity to lead this pivotal organization in the movement to end sexual violence and expand high-quality trauma-informed services to sexual violence survivors throughout the state of Connecticut.
The next Executive Director of The Alliance will be able to build on the many strengths of the organization while navigating a turbulent and highly charged political and social environment to further grow the organization’s capacity to fulfill its critical mission of creating communities free of sexual violence. In addition to the nonprofit leadership and management skills required to lead an organization the size and scope of The Alliance, this position requires an executive who is passionate about ending social violence, who understands the dynamics of building and sustaining trauma-informed services, who has high emotional intelligence and excellent communication and public speaking skills, and who can astutely navigate the political realm and is skillful at building relationships and coalitions.
