Public Allies Connecticut wants YOU to lead! Get paid to make a difference in New Haven!

Public Allies Connecticut is looking for an emerging nonprofit leader to join our program, starting this September!

Do you know someone who is a strong team player, eager to learn, detail oriented, passionate about social change, and is ready to commit to a 10-month full time service position? Public Allies apprenticeships offer the following benefits:
- A living stipend of $16,500 for a ten-month commitment
- An education 
award of $5,550 that can be applied to student loans and future education
- Student loan forbearance for certain types of loans

- Free, engaging and rigorous professional development trainings

Laying the Cash Tracks for Community Impact

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
