PARENT- TEACHER TEAM-BUILDING: WHEN PARENTS AND TEACHERS WORK TOGETHER POSITIVELY ALL STUDENTS BENEFIT

WHEN PARENTS AND TEACHERS WORK TOGETHER POSITIVELY ALL STUDENTS BENEFIT. IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO REAL SUCCESS!

As we start a new school year, OneWorld Progressive Institute reminds parents, guardians, and advocates for children, that when parents and teachers work together in cohesive teams students benefit greatly.   In one of OneWorld's extremely successful  "EDUCATION WORKSHOPS" 14 parents and teachers worked with retired principal and education consultant, Marc Palmieri, to demonstrate how this is done, and share innovative ideas on how to overcome challenges and eliminate barriers in the school-home dynamics.  Some of the ideas are truly inspiring.

We have posted the entire video on YouTube for the benefit of the community.  Please click the link below to watch the program at your convenience.  You may also visit the education section of our web site at: http://www.oneworldpi.org/education/education_videos.html  to see other OneWorld education programs and learn more about what we do for the community.  See some of our other videos.

WE ALSO REMIND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND PARENTS IN NEW HAVEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS (NHPS) TO MAKE THE BEST USE OF THE NH PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.  BE SURE TO GET THE APPLICATION GUIDELINES EARLY. LEARN ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS.  THIS YEAR, THE DEADLINE IS EARLIER, AND YOUR APPLICATION MUST BE FILED ONLINE.  STUDENTS, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, SPEAK TO YOUR GUIDANCE COUNSELOR.  THE NH PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS A REAL GIFT; PLEASE MAKE THE BEST USE OF IT.  REMEMBER THERE IS A COMMUNITY SERVICE COMPONENT TO BE FULFILLED.

WE WISH ALL OF OUR STUDENTS, PARENTS AND TEACHERS A VERY SUCCESSFUL 2012-2013 ACADEMIC YEAR.  ENJOY THE TEAM-BUILDING VIDEO PROGRAM LINKED BELOW.
