Welcome to GNH Community, glad to have you join us. Members may post information that they think will be of interest to nonprofits, civic organizations, the people they serve or the general public. You may post calendared events on the events page, non-date specific information on the blog, pictures or video.

 

Check out the groups created by other members; this is a great place to meet people that share your interest and to ask questions. You may request to join as many groups as you wish or start a new group. The creator of a group sets the parameters for membership. If you have a question about a group, please write to the owner (the person who initiated the group).

 

If you have questions or suggestions as to how we can make GNH Community more useful please let me know.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation

LISC Awarded $65M in New Markets Tax Credits

The CDFI Fund announced New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) awards to 104 organizations today, including a $65 million allocation for LISC, the largest amount allocated to recipient groups. It brings LISC’s total NMTC awards to nearly $1.3 billion, which we have leveraged to fuel the development of retail, manufacturing, health care, childcare, and education facilities in under-resourced communities. LISC’s NMTC work is managed by its affiliate, Broadstreet Impact Services, a community investor and fund services firm focused social and economic impact across the country.

LISC Impact Notes and Racial Equity: An Update on Progress

Emergency Management Consulting Firm is Charting New Territory, with Help From LISC

Houston-based Laveer Logix recently received a $260,000 working capital loan from LISC to expand its capacity to serve federal agencies and fuel growth through new contracts. The loan was supported by the Abbott-LISC Initiative to Support Diverse Businesses in Health and the LISC Entrepreneurs of Color Fund supported by JPMorganChase.
