- The Labor History Association is:
* A membership-based organization comprised of individuals and organizations with an interest in labor history
* An educational resource and a historical archive center for records pertaining to our local labor history
What We Do:
* Create traveling exhibits and install them in community venues
* Preserve and maintain an archival repository of individuals' papers and local union records
* Organize public events such as workshops, walking tours, book-signings, film festivals, talks by esteemed labor historians and an Annual Meeting
* Offer Records Inventory Services and access by appointment to many of our historical archives
* Conduct projects such as oral history interviews with retired workers
* Present the August Lewis Troup Award annually to individuals in recognition of their personal contributions to the labor community

LISC and Meta joined forces on a $5 million effort to build the capacity of 20 community organizations to fuel jobs, housing, health, and economic development in underinvested communities.
