The Greater New Haven Association of Volunteer Administrators (GNHAVA) formed in 1983, is dedicated to enhancing the competency of volunteer administrators and strengthening the profession of volunteer resource management.

The Greater New Haven Association of Volunteer Administrators (GNHAVA) promotes cooperative efforts among agencies and volunteer administrators in greater New Haven in order to exchange and disseminate information and resources, provide an opportunity for networking, plan and act together in matters of concern and interest, and provide an environment which will encourage the development and enhanc
ement of volunteer programs.
GNHAVA is dedicated to enhancing the competency of volunteer administrators and strengthening the profession of volunteer resource management. Since most nonprofit organization volunteer administrators are a one-person office, we appreciate the collegial support of members. It is in this spirit that the GNHAVA invites you to join us as an active member. Our present membership represents a volunteer workforce of nearly 10,000 individuals -- so we have the potential to have a great impact on our region.

Where Do Workers Living on Low Incomes Stand in the Post-Pandemic Economy?
An article in Politico looks at the gains and losses—actual and potential—for lower-wage workers in the current economic climate. LISC and Enterprise Community Partners have released a joint white paper that catalogs how CDFIs have engaged with the capital markets in recent years. Foot Locker Foundation continues its collaboration with LISC to promote youth empowerment through mentoring, career development, and health and wellness activities—all while supporting community-based organizations with diverse leadership. A new $4.5 million commitment will support three annual grant application rounds. Proposals for the first round are due by August 30, 2023.
