U.S. Military Academy Band at West Point and Yale

Concert Band to Present Gala Concert to Commemorate

Yale Bowl Centennial – Friday, Sept. 26 at Woolsey Hall

 

NEW HAVEN – The United States Military Academy Band at West Point and the Yale Concert Band will join together on the eve of their 46th football meeting to present a gala concert to commemorate the Centennial of the Yale Bowl (1914), on Friday, September 26, at 8:00 PM in Woolsey Hall (corner College and Grove Streets). Admission is free (general/no tickets required). (Doors open at 7:15 pm).

 

The concert will feature the combined bands, as well as specialty numbers by each group, including Yale and Army fight songs and alma maters, Stars and Stripes Forever, America the Beautiful, and tributes to all the branches of the U.S. military. Come and hear songs that have accompanied Army and Yale athletic competitions since 1893, and other celebratory music. The West Point Band is conducted by Lt. Col. Jim Keene and the Yale Concert Band by Thomas C. Duffy.
