Event Description

Celebrate the holiday season in downtown New Haven with the city's annual tree lighting celebration on the historic green Thursday, December 5, from 4-8pm, presented by Wells Fargo. A host of free activities for the entire family include carousel rides, visits with Santa, photo opportunities with costumed characters, Ferris wheel rides, holiday crafts, live choral performances and more! Visit the New Haven Free Public Library Readmobile to check out a book or get a library card. Kids can explore touch a truck on-site. And don't forget to grab a meal or sweet treat from one of the food trucks. The evening is highlighted by the illumination of 30,000 lights on the 60 foot Norway spruce from New Haven.
