Event Description

Yale Swing, Blues, and Fusion present our Beginner Bootcamp! The Beginner Bootcamp is a complete introduction to Swing and Blues dancing.

Come learn the basics of partnered dance connection and movement! Four hours of instruction on Saturday and Sunday afternoon will start you off on the right foot. Our teachers will also introduce the type of music that Swing and Blues are danced to and some history about the musical forms to get you comfortable in the basics of intentional partner dancing.

No partner or previous experience required. Come as you are and leave as a dancer. 
Wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes is recommended. 

LOCATIONS & TIME:

Saturday: 1:00pm-5:00pm, Harkness Memorial Hall (367 Cedar St.)
Sunday: 1:00pm-5:00pm, Slifka Center (80 Wall St.)

** General admission: 40$ **
** Student admission: 30$ **

Yale Swing, Blues & Fusion wants to make events available for everyone, regardless of income. We have “Dancerships” available for all of our classes and workshops. If you are interested in attending a class that is cost-prohibitive for you, please fill out our Dancership Application at

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
