Event Description

As part of our mission to celebrate locally produced food and drink, Slow Food Shoreline is excited to announce our first Slow Food's Toast to Connecticut – Wine and Beer Tour!

Join us Saturday June 1st, as we visit some of our favorite local producers – Stonington Vineyards, Cottrell Brewing Company, and Two Roads Brewery. Stonington is celebrating its 25th year, and was one of the first modern wineries in the state. Cottrell is the oldest continually brewed and bottled beer in Connecticut. Two Roads is the newest member of this artisanal community, resurrecting a 100 year old factory to produce delicious craft beers.

The bus will be leaving at 9am from Stratford (exact location TBD). We’ll return to the same location at 6pm. Cost for the day is $95, which includes all wine and beer tastings, winery and brewery tours, lunch, charter bus transportation, additional food pairings, snacks, and prizes. Proceeds support Slow Food Shoreline’s cooking education programs.

Notes: All attendees must be 21 or older, and we’ll check ID’s at registration. Please drink responsibly and make appropriate transportation arrangements. Exact departure location will be communicated at least a week before the tour, please make sure your contact information is accurate (we’re trying to identify a location with reasonable access to the Metro North train line). Participants are encouraged to buy wine and beer to take home. There is plenty of space on the bus to store purchases. Please note that Cottrell Brewing is cash only. We hope you can join us!
