Event Description

Free, fun and family friendly photography workshop led by artist and NXTHVN alumnus Daniel Ramos. Begin with a curatorial walkthrough of our current exhibition, COMMON PRACTICE: Public Access, led by John Dennis, NXTHVN’s Creative Director. The exhibition examines the role and importance of “the park” in the formations of communities. Following the walkthrough, Daniel Ramos will lead a “photo walk” of the Dixwell neighborhood, instructing participants on how to utilize natural lighting and the basics of composition.

Attendees will be invited to submit their photos to be possibly featured in the NXTHVN gallery lobby as well as on our website.

Please RSVP to -- exhibitions@nxthvn.com -- by June 16th to reserve your spot. Attendees are encouraged to bring a camera or a smartphone, and good walking shoes.

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
