Greetings!
Following up on our December 8th New Haven Promise Zone Community Forum and as a kick-off to the next phase of planning for community transformation, we are inviting those who have been involved in the New Haven Promise Zone initiative to come together to break bread and build our connections on:
Tuesday, February 10 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the
Immanuel Baptist Church Hall, 1324 Chapel Street, New Haven.
This will be both a celebration of many new and ongoing initiatives and innovations in New Haven and an opportunity to get to know each other and our work.
The event will include an exploratory conversation in small groups on how we can work together differently going forward to create secure and empowering relationships for the people who depend on us as community agencies and leaders.
We will also present briefly plans for the next phase of work on the City Transformation Plan that will get underway in February.
We want to acknowledge and promote the sense of New Haven as a caring, loving place with a long tradition of social justice and a commitment to equity. I hope you can join us.

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
