Event Description

Army veteran of Iraq 2003 and sexual-assault survivor Ryan Leigh Dostie will read from her acclaimed memoir, FORMATION: A WOMAN'S MEMOIR OF STEPPING OUT OF LINE. Her reading, along with UConn Professor of Women's and Queer Studies Martina Powell's, will be part of a celebration of the tenth year of SCSU's Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program and the decades of creative-writing accomplishments.

A new LISC research paper demonstrates how intensive community development initiatives in two rural regions of California sowed the seeds of stability and revitalization for local people and places.
