Event Description
The Greater New Haven Help Alliance is sponsoring 5k Run/Walk and ½ mile Kids Fun Run. The event is to benefit the construction of the ProTeen Center in New Haven. The ProTeen Center will focus on the individually assessed needs of middle school-aged young people through after-school programs, family support, mentoring, academic enrichment, goal-setting and experience-broadening programs, activities, and relationships.
The event will be at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, which has scenic views of New Haven Harbor and Long Island Sound.
The Kids ½ mile Fun run will start at 10:00am and will be conducted entirely within the park.
The 5k (3.1 miles) Run/Walk starts at 10:30am.
The 2 mile walk will start simultaneously with the 5K Run/Walk.
Awards: Trophies will be given out to the 3 top finishers male and females. Ribbons to all 1/2 mile kids fun run race finishers. Also one trophy will be given out to the school that had most registrants, so make sure to represent your high school or middle school in the Greater New Haven area.

Where Do Workers Living on Low Incomes Stand in the Post-Pandemic Economy?
