Julia’s Run Road Race will take place April 15, 2018
to support LEAP and honor a Yale student’s memory
The 19th Annual Julia’s Run Road Race will take place on Sunday, April 15th at Yale University’s Cross Campus in New Haven, beginning at College and Wall Street. Proceeds from the run benefit LEAP, a leadership development organization dedicated to empowering New Haven’s children and youth.
Julia’s Run is a New Haven tradition that celebrates the memory of Julia Rusinek, a rising senior at Yale University at the time of her death in July 1999. The event combines Julia’s passion for running with her commitment to making a difference in the lives of children.
The 0.7-mile Fun Run for children under age 12 starts at 9:30 a.m. and the main 4-mile race starts at 10 a.m. Runners of all skill levels are welcome, and sponsorship of runners is encouraged.
Registration is $20 for adults, $15 for students, and $8 for children in the Fun Run. Registration information and events details can be found online at www.juliarun.org, or people can register the day of the race from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. at Woolsey Hall, Cross-Campus.
