Join author, educator and map illustrator John Roman for a discussion of his book, The Art of Illustrated Maps. Roman will show many of the illustrated maps he’s created for advertising and publishing during his career, and reveal how and why the human mind instinctively accepts the artistic license invoked in “not-to-scale” maps. This presentation is sponsored by the Connecticut Map Society.
