JCL Information and Orientation Session
Wednesday , September 17, 9:30 AM
JCL Children Seek Reading Partners 1 hour a week. Build the love of reading,
confidence and self worth with an elementary school child in the Greater New
Haven public schools. No experience needed.
Information and Orientation session to recruit and train volunteer reading
partners. Share the pleasures of reading and conversation with elementary
school children, helping them improve their vocabulary and giving them a
chance to express their opinion to an interested adult. A panel of 3
educators will share hints, strategies and encouragements to use during our
one-to-one sessions.
