I AM Shakespeare
(The Henry Green Story)
A Private Screening and Conversation with award-winning director Stephen Dest and Henry Green

Dest's latest documentary, the second in a trilogy about New Haven, poignantly chronicles the turbulent life of a remarkable young man and his miraculous return from death.
Stephen Dest and Henry Green will answer questions about their collaboration following the screening.

Statement of Purpose:
Your ticket purchase makes a difference by helping us match federal and state grant awards for our upcoming project …way to go… by artist Sheila de Bretteville. An interactive light installation proposed for the Rt. 34 underpass near Union Station, the artwork is designed to remake a deteriorated urban space. In New Haven’s busiest “gateway,” this light installation will delight tourists, commuters, and neighborhood residents alike.
Raising monies to match to the federal NEA grant and the state Public Art + Community (PAC) Project grant awarded through the Office of the Arts will ensure the completion of this important public artwork.

Please join us for this special private screening!

How the Federal Reserve and LISC are Supporting Families with Heirs' Property

Natavia lives in the 800 square-foot family house her grandmother bought on the east side of Jacksonville, Florida almost 80 years ago. Natavia is the third generation to call the property home. “I value the house for the memories,” she said. “I grew up spending the summers with my grandma, hearing the stories of her walking to work way on the other side of town, just to have a home.”

Investing In A Future For Us All: LISC’s 2023 Annual Report is here!

It was a year of new leadership, new vision and renewed commitment. We invested an extraordinary $2.4 billion and doubled down on our work to create affordable housing, catalyze financial opportunity and promote climate resiliency. And so much more.

LISC and Partners Launch “What’s Possible”: A Blueprint for Sustainable American Communities

LISC, Enterprise Community Partners and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York have published What's Possible: Investing NOW for Prosperous, Sustainable Neighborhoods. With contributions from LISC green and financing experts, the volume is a timely and crucial guidebook to equitable green investing and community development and especially timely on the heels of the historic $20 billion in federal investment to expand access to clean energy and climate solutions.
