> Did you have to wait two or three hours in line on November 8 to cast your vote? Did you wait in a long line at the polls only to find out that you were in the wrong line? Have you experienced difficulties trying to participate in same-day registration (EDR)? Have you encountered poll workers who asked for forms of identification that are not required by law? Have you experienced difficulty obtaining an absentee ballot? Have you ever been mysteriously dropped from the voting rolls at a polling place you have used for years? Have you ever received a postcard from the Registrars' Office telling you the wrong polling place, or not received a postcard at all? Do you find it confusing that you have a different polling place in even- and odd-number years?
>
>
> If you answered Yes to any of these questions, we want to know! New Haven Votes is hosting a solutions-oriented citizens forum to review the 2016 elections process: hours-long waits to vote, polling places without ballots, and a week-long delay in tabulating official results. Come and share your story and recommend improvements.
>
> We will also discuss what it would take to adopt early voting and no-excuse absentee voting in Connecticut, and legislation that would reform the partisan registrar system of election administration.
>
> Invited Guests:
> * Cheri Quickmire, Executive Director of Common Cause - Connecticut
> * Maria Lamberto, Chair of League of Women Voters - New Haven / West Haven chapter
> * Lourdes Montalvo, Office of Connecticut Secretary of the State Denise Merrill
