The Community Poetry Open Mic, a featured event of the Peabody’s MLK Day celebration, gives community members of all ages an opportunity to share their original poetry or song and to speak their minds on issues of justice and injustice.
The first 25 submissions will be accepted. Space is limited.
Original poetry or song must be received at the Museum during business hours, or by mail, no later than Wednesday, January 4, 2017, and be accompanied by a completed registration form.
All participants will receive a T-shirt.
Guidelines
Poem or song must be original.
One poem or song per person.
A completed registration form must be included with your poem or song.
Content must be appropriate and fit the theme of justice and injustice.
If you are selected to participate you will be notified by phone or email.
