Event Description
Join The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to learn how local nonprofits are faring since the economic downturn and what they are doing to strengthen the region. Special guest speaker: Jacob Harold, CEO of GuideStar. Mr. Harold will put Greater New Haven's local picture in a national framework and discuss the "Overhead Myth," Guidestar's national appeal to donors to ensure that nonprofits have the resources to invest in their own sustainability and success. LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
