Event Description

You are invited to join us as we celebrate all stakeholders who made it possible for the Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) to keep its doors open during the pandemic.

The guest speaker is Marcella Nunez-Smith, MD, MHS, and the theme is “A Pathway to Self-sufficiency”

CAANH has remained open during the tumultuous pandemic to ensure the most marginalized families in our catchment area were serviced. The appreciation reception is our way of saying thank you to donors, staff members, board members, and the community who helped to keep our doors open.

Each year CAANH serves approximately 10,000 families. We help families heat their homes, pay the electric and gas bills, to avoid falling further off the cliff into a life of poverty. We serve vulnerable families who reside in North Haven, New Haven, Hamden, West Haven, and East Haven.

We help families meet the needs and challenges of daily living. Your gift helped to ensure we could remain open and ready to serve hundreds of additional families during the COVID19 pandemic of 2020.
