Join us this Sunday, April 7, 2013 for the 9th annual AIDS Walk New Haven, dedicated to HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness! Each year, students, families, friends, teammates and co-workers from around New Haven come together in a day of education and remembrance, but also entertainment. This year, our speakers and performers include: Leif Mitchell, Assistant Director of the Communicy Research Core at Yale’s Center for Interdiscplinary Research on AIDS; Ellen Gabrielle, Director of Development at Liberty Community Services; the Yale Precision Marching Band; and recording artist Johnathan Celestin. Through the participation of hundreds of volunteers and walkers, this event has a proud tradition of helping to mobilize the community in the local fight against HIV/AIDS and of raising tens of thousands of dollars to benefit the work of the Mayor’s Task Force on AIDS. Come connect with other members of the community, learn more about an important public health issue, and help fundraise for a local cause! Register online individually or as a team at https://www.firstgiving.com/AIDSwalkNewHaven/aids-walk-new-haven-2013.
