The 226th Annual Meeting of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce was postponed in April due to Covid-19. Since the pandemic hit, the business community has faced the pandemic by innovating, responding to changing customer demands, protecting the health of customers and employees, making difficult decisions, and ultimately preserving through historic conditions. Combining the Annual Meeting with our Annual Awards, we will use this virtual event to recognize the determination and resilience of our business community. It includes an update on the State of the Chamber, the election of new board members for the GNHCC board of directors, including recently elected Vice-Chair, Howard K. Hill, the presentation of the Corporate Heritage Award, to the University of New Haven, as it celebrates 100 years of service.
This year’s online event will feature a conversation with Yale New Haven Health CEO, Marna Borgstrom. The Annual Business Leadership Awards component of the program will recognize individuals and businesses that have exhibited exceptional leadership skills and are active in the business community. We will honor businesses in the following categories: Technology & Innovation, Small Business, Community Partnership, Legislative Leader, Diversity & Inclusion Leadership, and our Chamber Volunteer of the Year.
