Event Description

This year’s online event will feature an overview of regional real estate trends as a result of the pandemic and how they relate to Greater New Haven.  We will hear directly from the developers behind the projects that had us excited for 2020 and where they stand now.  The region is fortunate to have many projects still going forward that could now lead the way for a resurgence of our local economy. The event will feature the release of the Chamber’s inaugural regional economic development report based off interviews with more than 100 business leaders.  The official launch of the Chamber’s new economic development program, as well as an overview of the best development opportunities from across the region.

Even in a virtual setting, this event is about networking.  After the speakers join our breakout rooms to connect with others in the industry.  

 

Don’t miss this year’s event. 
It will be the place to learn where development is headed and make connections with key decision-makers and colleagues to drive the economy forward.
Tickets are $20 for Members, $25 for Non-Members, and $100 for 10 registrations.

LISC Names Miranda L. Jones to Lead ‘People and Culture’ Work

Jones is a seasoned leader who will oversee LISC’s talent development and traditional human resources functions as well as lead internal strategies that promote diversity and inclusion. “Especially at an organization like LISC, where people are so passionate about justice, it is critical that we nurture a culture of talent and innovation, where creative ideas can become impactful programs and help build a more equitable, broadly shared prosperity throughout the country,” she said.

Uber, Visa and LISC Provide $1 Million in Grants & Resources to Support Small Businesses

LISC is a partner in Grants for Growth, a $1 million program of Uber and Visa that provided $10,000 grants to 100 restaurants in 10 cities nationwide. LISC administered the grant program, which brings relief to restaurants when they need it most, particularly as they continue to recover from the pandemic. Among the grant recipients, 92% are entrepreneurs of color, 69% are female-owned businesses, and 88% are located in low or moderate-income areas.
