Join us for our 19th annual celebration. In his tireless efforts toward equality and harmony for all, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. strove to raise awareness about public health concerns and urban environmental issues that disproportionately affect minority and low-income communities. This is now referred to as environmental justice, a term coined long after Dr. King’s death. |
The Yale Peabody Museum will open its doors once again in honor of Dr. King and his efforts to ensure environmental and social justice among all people. The weekend will include world-class performances and inspiring educational activities for visitors of all ages. |
We wish to thank Connecticut Humanities Council, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Stop & Shop, Subway and the Yale Office of New Haven and State Affairs |
