Event Description

16th Annual Westville Village ArtWalk

Friday, May 10 + Saturday, May 11, 2013

The Westville Village ArtWalk is one of the largest community-based arts festivals in New England and a showcase for visual and performing artists from the Westville neighborhood and Greater New Haven. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public, rain or shine!

ArtWalk kicks-off Friday evening of Mother’s Day weekend from 5-10pm with gallery openings, live music, theatre, open houses, fabulous dining and more throughout the Village. The festivities continue on Saturday, from 11-6, with something for everyone: a great music line-up on three stages, interactive art activities for all ages, artist demonstrations, special gallery exhibitions, and unique Mother’s Day gifts at local boutiques and at our 30+ Artist & Artisan Market. As always, ArtWalk will feature the Village’s top cafes and restaurants, plus sidewalk sales and events at Westville’s award-winning shops.

ArtWalk takes place in the Historic Westville Village section of New Haven, along Whalley Avenue and Fountain Street from West Rock Avenue at beautiful Edgewood Park to Harrison Street. Visit for more information.

The Westville Village Renaissance Alliance (WVRA) is a non-profit organization and Connecticut Main Street program dedicated to the revitalization, celebration and enhancement of historic Westville Village and all its amenities. The Westville Village ArtWalk is WVRA’s signature annual event.

Announcing the LISC Rapid Relief and Resiliency Fund

LISC is taking swift action in response to the coronavirus pandemic, to mitigate economic impact on residents in the hundreds of communities where we work. We are launching the LISC Rapid Relief and Resiliency Fund to assemble and deploy resources to our local partners, small businesses and residents who are being hit hardest. The Fund will deliver operating capital, emergency subsidies and IT support, as well as technical assistance, to keep our partners and their communities strong and functioning through this unprecedented situation.

Verizon and LISC Come Together to Support Small Businesses with COVID-19 Recovery Fund

An investment of $2.5 million from Verizon is making it possible for LISC to begin offering critical relief and resiliency-building support to small businesses facing immediate financial threat because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding will go to make grants of up to $10,000, especially to entrepreneurs of color, women-owned businesses and other enterprises in historically under-served places who don’t have access to flexible, affordable capital. Verizon will highlight and bolster these efforts through their inaugural "Pay It Forward Live" online concert series.
