GNH Community

Community, Nonprofits and Businesses sharing Information

The Three Little Kids is a Hip Hop Cultural awareness play which is designed to self-empower our community by coursing the residents through a rite of passage. The production ensemble will journey through a rite of passage by learning, producing and performing a full scale production. The 3LK is produced to bridge the gap between adults and young people to heal the misunderstanding about Hip Hop culture. We see the future in which all organizations can work hand and hand to bring back the unity in our communities. We believe that this will continue to inspire the neighborhood to imagine and build its own destiny.

The Three Little Kids is based on the fairy, The Three Little Pigs, which has a Hip Hop twist to it. The Three Little Kids is a story of three kids who grow up in the community and would do anything for a record deal. The three little kids have real talent and never realized they had enough knowledge, wisdom and understanding to get them where they wanted to go. Wolf Daddy discovers the kids first and uses them to get his pockets phatt. He preyed upon Dumb because he knew that Dumb never like to read or write. He preyed upon Deaf because he knew that Deaf never like to hear what anyone kicked in his ear and Blind, Blind never saw her future, he just live for now. Wolf Daddy knew she was materialistic and had his peanut gallery Huff and Puff seduce her with jewelry and rides wherever she wanted to go.

It’s a process that demands insight, bona fide listening and what she describes as “working at the speed of trust.”
