About Slate: Slate Ballard is a serial entrepreneur and founder of The Grove, an innovative and award-winning coworking space in New Haven, CT. Slate is also Partner and Innovation Strategist at Animal Volcano Design, a design agency igniting social movements through design. At The Grove Slate works to cultivate communities that harness the power of collective intelligence and collaborative creativity. At Animal Volcano Design Slate uses human-centered design to connect, engage, and inspire organizations around their identity, cause or community. Slate is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University where he studied organizational behavior.
