LISC Calls on Congress to Enact Historic Housing Legislation

The Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs recently passed a bipartisan and comprehensive housing package, which includes many of LISC’s federal affordable housing priorities. The ROAD to Housing Act is the most significant housing legislation in decades. LISC’s Mark Kudlowitz examines the bill and how – if enacted – it would help address our nation’s growing affordable housing crisis.

Strengthening the Core: How LISC and Meta Support the Backbone of Community Progress

Through a $5 million collaboration with Meta launched in 2024, LISC is supporting capacity building at grassroots organizations through unrestricted grants and technical support across four states and Puerto Rico. The program is helping nonprofits improve their internal infrastructure to build long-term sustainability and boost community impact.
