Event Description

Are you able to speak in front of groups and build rapport with them? Do you have good communication and listening skills? Are you able to be non-judgmental, respect different opinions, and be optimistic about people's ability to make changes? Then, you may be just the person we are looking for to co-facilitate Live Well Workshops, which are chronic disease self-management programs for people with ongoing health conditions like diabetes, depression, heart disease, arthritis, pain, and anxiety or those caring for someone with an ongoing health condition. 

Prospective workshop leaders must register for and attend an information session and four days of training and co-facilitate a Live Well Workshop within six months of completing training. To register, please contact Sue Hamilton at (203) 785-8533, Ext. 3158 or shamilton@aoapartnerships.org.

Laying the Cash Tracks for Community Impact

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
