Event Description
The annual Julia’s Run for Children takes place in New Haven on April 13 this year. This 4-mile run celebrates the life of the late Julia Rusinek, a Yale student and track team member who loved to spend most of her free time working with disadvantaged children. When she passed away in 1999, her family established a fund in her memory in order to keep alive her legacy of service to the community’s most vulnerable population. Since the first Julia’s Run in April 2000, proceeds have provided support to LEAP, one of New Haven’s oldest and most distinguished out-of-school-time educational and enrichment programs.

Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
