Carla Roehrich, Gateway Community Colege SOAR* (Sustainable Operation Alternative and Renewable) Regional Coordinator for Alternative Energy Programs will be present at the Main Branch 133 Elm Street from 12-2PM, Wednesday August 11.

This a great opportunity for individuals exploring careers in alternative energy to see what Gateway C.C. has to offer. In addition Mary Compton, Admissions Rep, will be present to answer questions about admissions,programs of study and financial aid.

*SOAR (Sustainable Operations: Alternative and Renewable) is an energy initiative funded by the Dept. of Labor. It is also linked with Greater New HavenClean Cities Coalition working with manufactures for clean energy
vehicles.

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
