Event Description

  • Saturday, May 5, 11:00am to 1pm Wooster Square Park (at Chapel and Academy Streets),New Haven, CT 06511. Connect the dots between extreme weather and climate change.  Strings of pictures of extreme weather will connect various "action stations". Each action station invites participants to join in a 350CT campaign to move Connecticut beyond fossil fuels (ex. Retiring the Bridgeport Coal Plant). Be prepared for some creative and fun actions that will have a real impact in moving us beyond fossil fuels. After visiting each station participants can enter a raffle to win a prize. Witness. EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
