On Saturday, June 7, from 12-5 p.m., families with children of all ages are invited to visit Audubon Street (between Whitney Avenue and Orange Street) for Audubon Arts on the Edge, an afternoon of free, family-oriented music, dance, hands-on arts-and-crafts activities, and interactive educational programs. Rain or shine!
Several young performers will take the stage including St. Luke’s Band, Neighborhood Music School DoSo Band, New Haven Ballet, Wudang Kung Fu Academy Wushu Ensemble as well as various performances by the ACES Educational Center for the Arts and more.
In addition to great music and dance, Audubon Street itself will morph into a concrete canvas on which artists of all ages can create a meandering chalk mural. Children will also be able to make music at the “instrument petting zoo,” create art on a giant painting wall, and make useable art from recycled materials. There will also be host of other engaging activities for kids of all ages.
