I am pleased to announce Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven’s and The New Haven HomeOwnership Center’s 2012 Multi-Cultural Arts Festival! We will be holding this year’s event in collaboration with START Bank on Sherman Avenue on Saturday, April 28, 2012 after the bank closes at 12:30 p.m. Themes of the event will focus on women as volunteers and multi-culturalism. Art from area high schools will be featured in a “peace walk” surrounding the event, along with salsa bands, dancers, local performance artists, New Haven’s food trucks, kids’ activities like face painting, a boxing ring from Elephant In The Room and educational workshops. Please join us for an event that is fun, free and open to the public!
