I am assisting board members from the Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity (Hartford Habitat) with their executive search.  We have recently launched the search for a passionate and inspiring executive director to lead the local affiliate for this internationally recognized organization, and we are spreading the word about this opportunity as widely as possible. 

After five successful years defined by growth in a challenging economy, Executive Director Michael Brett will be stepping down.  The challenge for the new Executive Director of Habitat Hartford will be to build upon past successes and provide new, creative leadership for this complex organization.  The executive director position offers the opportunity to put a passion for Hartford Habitat’s mission, combined with creative   ideas and operational expertise, to create additional ways to expand on Habitat’s impact in the Hartford region.  The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a problem solver, and a coalition builder.
