Wallingford Public Library, 200 North Main Street, Wallingford, presents naturalist John Root for a program on songbirds of the northeast, Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited.
Mr. Root’s power point presentation features both photographs and recordings of the northeast region’s most common songbirds. The audience will learn how to recognize these enchanting birds by their songs and calls as well as by sight. Diet, migration, habitat, life cycles, social behavior, and other adaptations for survival are discussed, and participants will learn how to provide attractive habitats for songbirds. Questions and comments are welcome throughout the presentation. Handouts with information about bird clubs, conservation organizations, books, and websites are made available at the conclusion of the program. Advance registration is appreciated. For more information, please call the library at 203-265-6754.
