Event Description

Dining Out for Life is an international event that has raised over $5.5 million since 1990 to help AIDS service organizations. Participating restaurants in Connecticut donate at least 25% of your bill on Thursday, April 28th to AIDS Project New Haven for HIV/AIDS care and prevention to people throughout the state of Connecticut.

Diners will also have the option to make an additional donation and be entered in to a drawing to win 2 round trip travel certificates from JetBlue Airlines.

Participating restaurants are in New Haven, Branford, Hamden, Milford, Orange, and North Haven. You can find a list of participating restaurants at http://www.diningoutforlife.com/newhaven/restaurants

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
